Webkinz Grey Arabian Horse

The Webkinz Grey Arabian Horse is currently one of the hottest selling and hard-to-find Webkinz toys in all of the land! Upon a recent check, stock was very low at Amazon.com and Gray Arabian was ranked as the top Stuffed Animal at Amazon. The Grey Arabian has dimensions of 8.5 x 4 x 4 and weighs in at 4.2 ounces. GANZ announced that the Grey Arabian will be its "Pet of the Month" for August 2009.

The Webkinz Webcast!

There's some very dedicated Webkinz fans in Minnesota! A father and his two daughters have developed a Webkinz podcast that's become quite popular. It's currently among the top 10 podcasts in the "Kids and Family" section of Apple iTunes Podcasts. They were originally going to do a podcast on American dolls, but since the daughters fell in love with Webkinz, a trendy show was born!

The show is currently run by Dave Swerdlick and his two daughers. According to the Star Tribune, the show has been downloaded over 50,000 times in just a month. The show covers the popular plush Webkinz toys, includes shout outs to friends and has listeners from all over the World! Some listeners download the podcast from South Korea, Bahrain and even Turkey!

The show is recorded in a downstairs room where Dave keeps guitars and music awards on the walls. On the recent 11th show they discussed recipes, how to earn KinzCash and talked about newer products. They even took a look at the brand new Webkinz catalog revealing some of the newest plush toys.

They even have been praised by the Ganz company, as spokeswoman Susan McVeigh told the Star Tribune the company greatly appreciates the effort and commitment put into Webkinz Webcast.

Webkinz Modeled at Fashion Show!

Pantagraph.com reports there was a fashion show held for Webkinz in Bloomington, Minnesota. The show was held at Casey's Garden Shop in Bloomington the week of January 19th, with 48 children from ages 3 to 16 modeling the latest Webkinz for the audience.

Kids modeled Webkinz such as the leopard, tree frog and dogs at the show. According to various parents in attendance at the show, they realize that these are more than toys and offer educational value.

"Becky Thompson of Bloomington wasn’t going to buy her daughters one of the toys. But then her husband, Todd, did some research and learned how educational and fun they are." (Source: Pantagraph.com)

Webkinz Site Troubles Fixed!

There was a bigtime overload on the Webkinz website on the 26th of December. The site was down due to major traffic on the two busy days following Christmas, when new Webkinz owners were eager to log in and register their plush toys!

According to newsday.com, Ganz' director of operations, Elaine Parsons said the site ran into a "programming issue that was unforeseen". Since the site had been having problems off and on for that Thursday, it was taken down at 3:30PM to fix the problems. It was back up and operating at 4PM Friday.

Other popular websites such as Sears, Land's End and Walmart.com reported problems in the days following Christmas, so it wasn't just Webkinz!

Bad timing for this trouble, but luckily everything is now working in the land of Webkinz!
